It began as Musashiya Shoten in the 1920s and was sold to the import company Fujii Junichi Shoten in 1934. The original owner, Koichiro Miyamoto, later founded Musa-shiya The Shirtmaker on South King Street in Honolulu, contributing significant designs to the Hawaiian shirt industry. Sun Surf has meticulously recreated this shirt, replicating its fabric, print and label to match the historic features and details of the original.
