The Rick Owens 'Crater' shorts redefine the proportions of the contemporary wardrobe through an architectural construction. The design is distinguished by a maxi upper panel at the waist, conceived to be folded in on itself creating a sculptural volume. Made of 13oz Japanese denim, they have a complex Dust wash that gives the canvas a mottled and deeply material appearance. The silhouette is completed by a raw cut hem, exasperated by long drooping fraying that accentuates the deconstructed attitude of the garment. An essential element that celebrates the purity of the manufacture through a radical and subversive aesthetic.
